New Repeat Prescription Service (POD) for Northlands Patients from 7th September 2021

POD is the easy way for you to order your repeat prescription (as long as your medication review is up-to-date). All it takes is a simple phone call to POD – there is no need to come into the surgery or go to your pharmacy. You will speak to a dedicated person who has time to answer any of your repeat prescription queries. The aim of the service is to ensure that patients are receiving the correct quantity of the medication that they need in a timely manner and to help reduce the amount of prescription waste in our area. POD is already used by a number of surgeries in Wiltshire and we hope Northlands patients will find this a quicker and easier way to manage medication.

pill_bottleTo order a repeat prescription online please click on the link at the top of this page having first registered as a user of Internet Access. Please note that you will only be able to use this system to request items included on the repeats list on your previous prescription.

Alternatively you can fill in the slip that was issued to you with your last prescription.

If you are completing the slip, make sure that you clearly tick only the items that you need.If you would like us to post the prescription, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope and circle the word “Post” on your slip. If you wish to collect the prescription from the surgery and take it to the chemist yourself, circle “Collect” on your slip. If you wish to pick up your medication direct from one of the chemists in Calne, circle the name of the chemist on your slip. You will either need to put the slip in the box at reception or post it to us.

Please note that, in the interests of patient safety, we are unable to accept repeat prescription requests by telephone.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a Doctor periodically to review repeat medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip when this is due. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
